Bauer is a privately owned company founded in 1879; it is a large publishing and broadcasting company based in Hamburg, Germany and operates in 15 countries worldwide. It produces over 300 magazines in 15 countries as well as online, TV and radio stations. As well as Kerrang and Q magazine, Bauer also produces Bella (unseen real life editorial with an element of fashion, beauty, cookery and practical home features), take a break and that’s life! (Real life editorial) and TV choice and total TVGuide (TV listing). Bauer are subsidiaries of Bauer radio and Box television. Bauer has a 50% stake in the British television company; the other half owned by Channel 4, it produces several music channels such as Q TV, 4music, Kiss TV, Kerrang! TV, the box, magic TV and smash hits TV. The company has different brands of magazines aimed at different target audiences and interests ranging from women’s, Men’s entertainment, men’s lifestyle, equine, gardening, transport, football, golf etc.

IPC media is one of the leading sonsumers and digital publishers in the United Kingdom based in London, it was founded in 1963. IPX magazines was raken over by Time inc. and renamed to IPC media in 1998. IPC media has produced over 60 iconic media brands, two thirds of UK women and 42% of UK men (almost 26 million UK adults) use/buy print media produced by them. They have a wide range of brands varting from wealth and leisure brands to lifestyle such as country life, horse&hound and Rugby world to Nuts, mouse breaker and NME mainly aimed at males to fashion and real life editorial such as what's on TV, MarieClaire, instyle and woman&home mainly aimed at women. There main target audiences for there brands are mass amrket women, upmarket women and men. They internationally publish music magazines they own such as NME, guitar and bass.

Wenner media inc is based in Los Angeles, founded in 1967 as Straight arrow publishers, magazine publising and printing are uner the private comany. Wenner media owns Rolling Stones magazine and they have been publishing print media covering music and pop culture for more than 4 decades. There usual brands are men's lifestyle and gossip entertainment magazines such as US weekly and Men's journal.
